The Brother fax 770 provides users a fax machine to send fax transmissions and reception. Although the 770 does not have as many functions as a multifunctional printer, you may have problems when you try to send or receive faxes. You should be able to solve many problems yourself by following a set of troubleshooting steps. Check the paper error

Fold the paper to cover the front of the machine. Remove loose paper from the input tray , if you are stuck.

Fold down the front cover of the device by pulling down the front edge. Press down the two blue tabs on the upper deck, also opening the top cover.

Remove the paper by pulling it out from the area of the inbox . If necessary, the paper strip out through the front of the device.

Pull the ink cartridge slot. Spin the wheel on the side of the cartridge to tighten the belt, and then pulls the cartridge into place.

Close the front and top of the device. Replace the paper in the input tray and folded back the paper cover on the tray.
No Dial Tone

Lift handset and listen to the receiver to check for a dial tone. If you’ve already used the handset, press the “Hang up” and listen for the dial tone through the speaker of the device.

Check the cable and make sure it is tightly connected to the device and the phone slot. Change the phone cord if you see any breakage or wear.

Ensure that the headphone cable is securely connected to the connector called “Headset” and that the cable is not damaged.

Disconnect the phone cord slot device phone. Connect a single line telephone to the slot, pick up the receiver and listen for dial tone.

Get in touch with the phone company if you do not hear a dial tone. If you hear a dial tone, the phone cable changes you’ve been using with the device – Copier Repair.
